5 Days/4 Nights

Day 1: Arrive Yangon (L,D)

Arrive in Yangon. Welcome by Nature Dream Travels & Tours guide with signboard and logo of your company. Transfer to hotel in air-conditioned coach while luggage is taken care of by porters and transported separately. Welcome banner on arrival at hotel and welcome cocktail while checking-in. A welcome gift is left in each room consisting of a traditional Shan bag containing a fan, three stamped postcards, a map of Myanmar with details of the areas to be visited, a Burmese phrase book and refresher towels. After time to relax, lunch at the hotel. An afternoon treasure hunt by local blue taxis is a fun way to discover the sights of Yangon, including the incredible Shwedagon Pagoda. Return to the hotel and enjoy a cocktail and poolside or garden dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Yangon.

 

Day 2: Yangon-Bagan (B,L,D)

After breakfast at the hotel transfer to Yangon's Mingaladon Airport for the flight to Nyaung Oo near Bagan.

On the dry plain of central Myanmar by the banks of the Irrawaddy River stands Bagan, one of the most remarkable archaeological sites in Asia. The 230 years, from 11th to 13th centuries, when Bagan was the capital of Myanmar, were marked by a religious fervour and building frenzy resulting in the thousands of stupas and temples many of which are still standing today. On arrival a sightseeing tour features Nyaung Oo Market and Shwezigon Pagoda. Lunch at a riverside restaurant overlooking the Irrawaddy. In the afternoon visit a lacqueware factory and Ananda Temple, one of Bagan's architectural masterpieces. In the late afternoon, transfer to That Byin Nyu Temple for a horse and carriage tour passing among the most impressive temples and pagodas of Bagan. The ride ends at Nature Dream's best-kept secret temple for a cocktail party before enjoying sunset over Bagan's magical temples from its upper terrace. Return to hotel. In the evening a moonlit Tha-nat-kha and longyi party is held with a traditional puppet performance. Overnight in Bagan. 

Day 3: Bagan-Heho-Inle Lake (B,L,D) 

After breakfast at the hotel transfer to Nyaung Oo Airport for the flight to Heho. From Heho, enjoy a scenic drive to Nyaung Shwe, the gateway to Inle Lake, one of Myanmar's best-known sights. On arrival at Nyaung Shwe village, proceed to the jetty and transfer by motor boat to the lakeside hotel for a Shan welcome ceremony with hotel staff dressed in traditional costume and playing drums and gongs. Welcome signboard, and Shan tea served by long-necked Padaung ladies. Lunch at the hotel after checking in. An afternoon sightseeing tour by boat includes a chance to see the leg-rowing fishermen and the floating gardens, built up from strips of water hyacinth and mud and anchored to the bottom with bamboo poles. The tour also includes a visit to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the weaving village of Inpawkhon and the newly opened area In Dein. Return to the hotel by late afternoon. In the evening enjoy a Shan party by the lakeside. Overnight at Inle Lake. 

Day 4: Inle Lake-Heho-Yangon (B,L,D) 

After breakfast a visit to a local market offers a chance to observe the many minorities coming down from their mountain villages to sell their produce. A floating market is held every five days in the floating village of Ywama, the lake's downtown. On other days the market rotates between the other lakeside villages. Continue to the Golden Island Cottages Resort built on stilts in the middle of the lake to experience the spectacular leg-rowing boat race organized especially by Nature Dream. After lunch at the resort's restaurant transfer to Heho Airport for the flight to Yangon. Transfer to hotel on arrival and after a welcome drink, there is free time to prepare for a farewell colonial gala dinner. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 5: Depart Yangon (B,L) 

After breakfast a fleet of microbuses and guides will be available outside the hotel for guests who would like to do some last minute shopping or complete their cultural visit of Yangon exploring colonial downtown including a stop at Sule Pagoda and China town as well as the Buddhist art collections at the National Museum. After lunch, late check out from hotel and transfer to Yangon's Mingaladon Airport by air-conditioned coach while luggage is taken care of by porters and transported separately.
