Its spire stands 114m high
and is even taller than the Shwedagon Pagoda. Visit also the
old Palace "Kamboza Thadi" and the huge 4 sitting Buddha's
"Kyaikpun". End the tour of Bago with a walk around the colourful
Bago Market. On the way back to Yangon, visit the Allied War
Cemetery near Htaukkyan, the final resting place for over
27,000 allied soldiers, and also visit a local woven bamboo

Trekking to hill tribes (Full day trekking tour from Pindaya):
A fascinating day trip from Pindaya to visit the Danu and
Palaung hill tribes. Leave Pindaya after an early breakfast,
starting trekking at 7:00 to Si-kya-inn village, home to the
Danu people. It is about 7km to Si-kya-inn from Pindaya, which
takes approximately 2 hours to walk. After a refreshment break,
continue on a further 4km to Yasakyi village, where the Palaung
live. Lunch and rest at a monastery before exploring the village.
The return trek to Pindaya takes a different route via the
Danu villages of Line-inn and Taung-baw-hyi, a total of 8km.

Visit to Hidden Faces (Full day Kakku Pagoda complex from
Inle Lake): Kakku is a hidden treasure 46km south of Taunggyi
with a magnificent collection of centuries old Buddhist stupas.
More then 2,000 stupas have been built here in a small area
of just one square kilometre, surrounded by mountains and
trees. Until very recently this area, which is inhabited by
the colourful Pa-O tribes with their distinctive habits, was
closed to visitors. A full day excursion begins by boat to
Nyaung Shwe. Kakku is then a two hour drive from Nyaung Shwe,
via the capital of Shan State, Taunggyi. A Pa O guide leads
a tour around the area and introduces the customs and life
of the Pa O people in the villages. At the end of the day
transfer back to hotel by road and boat. (L)

Full day Excursion to Syriam : Tour by car to Syriam,
once a major port, but now a sleepy village. Enroute, visit
Kyaik Kyauk Pagoda ( Mon Pagoda), legend said built since
over 2000 years ago. Continue to Yele Pagoda(Mid-Stream-Pagoda),
set on a tiny island in the river and explore two further
pagodas and the riverside market where you can taste famous
Myanmar dried fish (Nga Poke Chauk).

Full day trip to Twente : Board a public boat in Yangon for
crossing the Yangon river (15 minutes) and continue by road
to TWENTE, located 24 km to the east of the capital. Famous
for its pottery industry, visit a traditional pottery workshop
where working methods have remained unchanged since generation
and observe the daily life of the local people in this charming
small town. After lunch (boxed lunch) visit to Shwesandaw
Pagoda with its impressive75 m high Stupa. Return to Yangon
by road through idyllic landscapes of rice paddies, river
and villages.
