2 Days /1 Nights (Extension Trip)

Day 1: Mandalay-Amarapura-Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo)

Start the day with a visit to the 18th century capital, Amarapura where the country's largest monastery, Mahaganda Yon Monastery, is located. Continue to the 200 year-old U Bein Bridge, constructed entirely from teak, and visit a silk weaving workshop and the Bagaya Monastery in Amarapura. In the afternoon it is a scenic two hour drive to the former British hill station of Maymyo, now officially called Pyin Oo Lwin, 1,000m above sea level. Many reminders of the colonial era are still present in Pyin Oo Lwin, including brick and timber houses with British names and the Botanical Gardens to the south of town. Transfer to hotel. Overnight in Pyin Oo Lwin. 

Day 2: Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo)-Mandalay (B)

After breakfast, enjoy a traditional horse and carriage ride through the town to see the historical houses and visit the beautiful recently renovated Botanical Gardens. Continue to the local market in
