A new hotel recently opened in Kalaw. The 16 wooden bungalows are situated on the hill over viewing the small town are tastefully decorated. All rooms have hot and cold shower, satellite TV, mini bar, IDD phone, electric heater as well as a fireplace for the cool evenings at an altitude of 1320 meters. The restaurant serves Chinese, Myanmar and Shan dishes.

The bungalow style Pine Hill Resort is, as its name suggests, surrounded by pine trees and is located just out of the city centre. There are 32 nicely furnished guestrooms (18 standard rooms and 14 deluxe rooms), a restaurant and a lounge bar.

The charming colonial style Kalaw Hotel with it's over 100 years of history has a spacious garden around the 3 buildings. There are 12 big suite rooms in the main building, 15 deluxe rooms in the wooden building and 18 superior rooms in (the less charming) new building. Besides that there is a good restaurant and a small bar. Especially the deluxe and suite rooms are nicely decorated and good value for money.
